FIVE MONTHS SEPARATES THESE PICTURES TAKEN FROM THE GARDEN

Where I come from, in Scandinavia, a lot of people has the impression that all of Texas always is warm and pretty dry.

We are in a hot spell right now, with around 98°F (37°C) in the shade. Some of my plants struggle in the hot sun, while others seem to take delight in the blazing heat.

I just want to show you the contrasts between how my garden here in Texas looks in early February and now in the middle of August. It is strange to see that only five months separates these pictures taken from the garden.

Slightly a different angle, but you can see the ginger plant at the right behind the yellow ornamental grass.

The Crepe Myrtles I planted last year are blooming wildly in the summer heat.
