GLIMPSE FROM MY TEXAN GARDEN EASTER 2015

Mostly there is chaos because I’m digging all over the place. I have to because its totally random what plants I find that I either love, finds weird, funny, useful or are currently on sale.

And we are buying large amounts of mulch, compost and bark (and some sand) to blend into the wet, grey clay all around in the garden. So what is my main goal at the moment? -Getting some vegetables in the soil are my main concern. Plant some more fruit trees, screen the terrace from the sun and street views, and put down some climbers and ornamental plants in the ground.

It’s actually terrible exciting! There are so many plants and trees here that I can’t grow in Scandinavia that I have trouble focusing on the “Big picture” of the garden.

Pink jasmine, ( Jasminum polyanthum) fast growing climber who seems to love to be in my garden. I planted it by the terrace because of the fragrance, but I can imagine the scent can be to much for some.

I bought this ugly little greenhouse. I sorely needed some place to keep my seedlings before I could plant them out and around in the garden. Its really handy and i'm exceptionally satisfied with it. I have placed it on a really sheltered place because I suspect it would get trouble in harsh winds, but the small greenhouse has been really handy.
I bought this ugly little greenhouse online. I sorely needed someplace to keep my seedlings before I could plant them out and about in the garden. It’s really handy and I’m exceptionally satisfied with it. I have placed it on a very sheltered place because I suspect it would get trouble in harsh winds, but the small greenhouse has been really handy. So, unfortunately, things don’t have to look good to be handy and worth the money.. But I wish.

So does a strange succulent I just bought because it had some buds on a branch.
