  5. Vips, så har du flott løvjord.
VET DU:

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN LEAFMOULD

If you want an easy way to make your own leafmould without major preparations, do the following:

  1. Find a black trash bag, or use an empty soil bag.
  2. Rake up fallen leaves.
  3. Pack leaves tightly and firmly down into the bag, as much as you can manage. The leaves decrease a good deal.
  4. Fill a small shovel ordinary soil from the ground into the bag. To make a kick start to the bacterial culture.
  5. Tie-back the sack, prick some holes with a garden fork and forget it for a year.
  6. Voila, you are -teh- owner of excellent, homemade leafmould!
DO YOU KNOW:
  • Leaf compost is slow to decompose so that in a regular compost you must assume that it takes two years before it is converted.
  • You can also rake leaves a little together on the lawn and then run the lawnmower over. Then the leaves get a little more crushed.
